Manifesting What’s Already Yours
There’s an interview on YouTube with Keshia Knight Pulliam on Rashan Ali’s Cool Soror Podcast. Now, this interview is a couple of years old, but it’s full of gems about life, purpose, and embracing abundance. One part that really stood out to me was when she said, “What’s for me will never ever miss me.” Those words hit deep because they’re a reminder of something we all need to hear—especially during seasons of waiting or uncertainty. Her interview covers so much more than just this sentiment, but this particular moment resonated with me so strongly that I had to share my own views on it.
Keshia went on to explain how she moves through life from a space of abundance and love, rooting for the people around her. That part spoke to me, too, because it’s easy to forget that our blessings don’t take away from anyone else’s. If anything, our wins create space for others to win, too. But let’s be honest — it hasn’t always been easy to adopt this mindset.
If you want to hear her full conversation, I’ve linked the interview below. It’s packed with wisdom about trusting your journey, walking in abundance, and living with purpose:
Learning to Trust the Timing
When I look back on some of the most pivotal moments in my life, I can see now that the things I wanted so desperately but didn’t get weren’t meant for me. And the things I never saw coming? Those were divinely aligned all along.
I’ll never forget a job I applied for a few years ago. I was so sure it was the opportunity that would change my life. I aced the interviews, felt like I connected with the hiring team, and just knew I had it in the bag. When I got the rejection email, I was devastated. I couldn’t understand why something I wanted so badly slipped through my fingers.
Fast forward a few months later, and another opportunity came along — one that not only aligned better with my skills but also with my values and long-term goals. It was a role that stretched me in ways I didn’t know I needed to grow. Looking back, I realize that first job wasn’t for me, no matter how much I thought I wanted it. God was making room for something better.
What’s for you will never miss you. But sometimes, you’ve got to wait a little longer than you’d like to find out why.
Rooting for Others in a Space of Abundance
One of the most profound points Keshia made was about abundance: the idea that there’s enough for all of us. She said, “Me receiving what is destined for me doesn’t take away from you… All of us deserve that.” I’ve seen how transformative this mindset can be, especially among women.
Let me tell you, the world wants us to believe we’re in competition with each other. It wants us to believe that one woman’s success diminishes our chances. But that’s simply not true. I’ve been in rooms where women have gone out of their way to uplift and encourage one another, and those spaces are where I’ve seen the most growth — personally and professionally.
Take my blogging journey, for example. When I first started, I was hesitant to share my platform with others. I was so focused on building my brand that I didn’t see the value in collaboration. But over time, I realized that celebrating and amplifying other voices only enhanced my own. When we operate from a space of abundance, there’s no need for comparison or envy. There’s enough light for all of us to shine.
When You’re in the Waiting Season
But let’s be real — this mindset doesn’t always come naturally, especially during a waiting season. Waiting for that job offer, that relationship, that breakthrough, can feel like an eternity. You start to wonder if you’ve been overlooked or if you’re not enough.
I’ve been there. In fact, I spent years praying for something I thought was the missing piece to my happiness. When it didn’t come, I started to doubt everything: my faith, my worth, my future. But looking back, I can see that God was protecting me. He was teaching me patience and strengthening my trust in His timing.
There’s a scripture I cling to during those seasons:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. —Jeremiah 29:11
It’s a reminder that even when it feels like nothing is happening, God is working behind the scenes. What’s for you will never miss you — but it might take time to reach you.
My Journey of Becoming
I’ve found that trusting what’s for you requires not just patience but also preparation. Are you ready to receive what you’re asking for? Sometimes we pray for things we’re not equipped to handle yet.
For example, when I got married this year, I felt an overwhelming sense of alignment, like I was stepping into a promise that had been waiting for me. But if I’m honest, I wouldn’t have been ready for this season of life a few years ago. I had to do the inner work — learning to communicate better, to trust, to love myself — before I could fully embrace the blessing of marriage.
It’s the same with any dream or goal. What’s for you is out there, but sometimes God has to grow you first. And that process? It’s not always pretty. It can look like heartbreak, closed doors, and seasons of waiting. But it’s worth it.

Manifesting Through Faith and Gratitude
Another powerful takeaway from Keshia’s interview was her approach to manifestation. She said, “When you live and walk in that space [of abundance], that’s what you manifest.” That’s real. What you focus on expands, so if you’re constantly worried about what you don’t have, you’ll feel lack. But when you focus on gratitude and abundance, you’ll attract more of it.
For me, this has looked like starting every day with a simple prayer of thanks. Even on the hardest days, I try to find something to be grateful for. It could be as small as the sun shining or as big as an answered prayer. Gratitude shifts your perspective and reminds you that you’re already blessed, even while you’re waiting for what’s next.
A Message to My Readers
To anyone reading this who feels like they’re stuck, overlooked, or running out of time: take a deep breath and remind yourself that what’s for you will never miss you. Trust that God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with your plans. Remember that your blessings don’t take away from anyone else’s, and theirs don’t diminish yours. There’s room for all of us to thrive.
Life is full of twists and turns, but I truly believe that every detour, delay, and disappointment is part of a greater plan. So keep showing up. Keep believing. Keep preparing for what’s already yours. And when it comes? Embrace it with open arms, knowing it was meant for you all along.
Let’s root for each other, walk in abundance, and trust the process. What’s for you will never, ever miss you. And that’s a promise worth holding on to.
Until next time!
